Why aren’t you a member of the MAP Section?

You’ve committed yourself to developing your practice through the years, watching it evolve into an efficient business serving a wide variety of clients. How do you keep on top of issues affecting the profession in addition to the latest information on benefits, employee retention and management issues? The Society’s Management of a Practice (MAP) Section can help.

The MAP Section can be a key building block in your online community. Benefits include:

    • A weekly e-mail newsletter
    • Dedicated Web page
    • Hot topic webinars
    • Online idea exchanges

The hallmark benefit of section membership is the listserv – an e-mail message that is broadcast to the entire member of that section. The listserv delivers both the weekly digest – a weekly e-mail from The Ohio Society with news stories that are timely and relevant to that particular section – and question and answer discussion threads among members.

Virtual communities are a dime a dozen today. Many Web sites bring visitors together and let them connect in cyberspace. Isn’t there a higher level of security in joining and sharing with a group of your peers who are brought together by your tried and trusted membership association?

Your annual membership dues for The Ohio Society of CPAs recently reached your mailbox. When you renew your dues this year, consider making a connection to your peers by joining the MAP Section. Check the box!
